How to use Test Desk (TD) — in simple steps
1. Purpose of the App
Test Desk (TD) provides mock tests and practice for various competitive exams. It is a pure practice platform — where you can test your preparation without any pressure.
2. Choose an Exam
On the Home page you will see a list of available exams, such as:
- Teacher & Education (CTET, State TET, KVS...)
- UPSC & Civil Services
- SSC, Railway, Banking, Defence
- State-level exams
- and more
Tap on your exam — related mock tests will appear.
3. Start a Test
Tapping any mock test shows its details —
- Total questions
- Total marks
- Total time
- Time per question
- Instructions
Press the green "🚀 Start Test" button to begin.
4. Timer Colors
Each question has a timer. Its color changes with time —
- Green — time remaining
- Yellow — time over, a little extra (0 to -20s)
- Orange — extra time (-21 to -40s)
- Red — too much extra time (-41s and beyond)
5. Answering Questions
Choose one of the four options (A, B, C, D).
- Your chosen option turns green
- The answer is saved automatically
- You may change it later
- Use "Previous" / "Next" to navigate
- Use "Question Palette" to jump to any question
6. Final Submit
On the last question, once you pick an option, the "✓ Final Submit" button appears. Tap it to submit.
You can also open the Question Palette and use the "Final Submit" button there.
7. Result & Review
Your result shows —
- Marks obtained and percentage
- Correct / Incorrect / Not Attempted
- Time used
- A motivational message
Use the "Review Answers" button to see every question with correct answer ✓ and your wrong answer ✕.
8. Registration
You can take the first 5 mock tests without registering. After that, registration is required —
- So that your progress is saved
- For deeper and better practice
9. Install the App
You can add Test Desk to your mobile home screen —
- In Chrome, tap ⋮ at top right
- Choose "Add to Home Screen" / "Install App"
10. Change Language
Use हिन्दी | English below the header to switch languages anytime.
